Decent price, not as sweet as non-sugar version
This is a pretty good deal on Citrucel. I was curious about the density, however, since in theory one should be able to get more mileage from a sugarless version. According to our balance, one tablespoon (level) of the sugared version is 13g, whilest the sugarless is 8. The dosing for both is one tablespoon (heaping in one case, 'rounded' in the other), so one should get more mileage out of the sugarless. I didn't quantify the soluble/insoluble portions, but by eye the sugared version is more soluble in our RO water source.
To the person who is concerned with the 'natural' aspect of this product: this cellulose was treated with methyl iodide, the industrial process for methylated the cellulose to prevent the microbes in your gut from binding and producing gas (potentially). If gas from cellulose isn't a problem for you, save some money and get an off-brand of 'natural' cellulose. Also keep in mind, there are plenty of 'natural' things out there which can be lethal at...
